Youth & Family Success

Our Youth & Family Success pillar serves children, adolescents, young adults, parents, caregivers, and families who may be experiencing academic, behavioral, social, economic, or family-related challenges. The Foundation recognizes that children and youth are more likely to succeed when they are supported by stable families, positive relationships, safe communities, quality education, and accessible resources. This pillar will focus particularly on youth and families who are at risk of experiencing negative outcomes because of poverty, family instability, behavioral challenges, academic difficulties, or limited access to supportive services.

Programs under this pillar will provide youth and families with opportunities to develop the skills, relationships, and resources necessary for long-term success. Services may include mentoring, youth development programs, parenting education, family support, life-skills development, academic support, leadership development, prevention programs, recreational activities, and connections to community resources. The Foundation will seek to create positive environments where young people can develop confidence, discover their strengths, build healthy relationships, and establish meaningful goals for their futures.

The Foundation will also recognize parents and caregivers as essential partners in the success of children and youth. Family-focused initiatives will help parents strengthen communication, develop effective parenting strategies, navigate community systems, and access resources that promote family stability. By addressing the needs of the entire family rather than focusing solely on the child, the Foundation will promote sustainable improvements in family functioning and youth development.

The intended outcomes include improved academic engagement, stronger family relationships, increased youth resilience, improved social and emotional development, enhanced parenting skills, reduced risk factors, and increased participation in positive community activities. Ultimately, the Foundation seeks to help young people become confident, capable, and productive members of society while helping families establish the stability and support necessary for long-term success.
