Behavioral Health & Recovery

Our Behavioral Health & Recovery pillar serves individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges, substance use disorders, emotional and behavioral difficulties, trauma, and other conditions that may interfere with their ability to achieve stability and thrive. The Foundation recognizes that behavioral health affects individuals across every age group, socioeconomic background, and community. Particular attention will be given to underserved populations and individuals who experience barriers to accessing quality, culturally responsive, and community-based behavioral health services.

Through this pillar, the Foundation will connect consumers with resources, education, prevention services, counseling and recovery supports designed to address behavioral health needs and promote long-term wellness. Services and initiatives may include mental health education, substance use prevention and recovery support, crisis intervention, peer and family support, referral services, support groups, wellness programming, and partnerships with qualified behavioral health providers. The Foundation will emphasize a holistic approach that considers the individual's emotional, social, family, spiritual, and environmental needs.

The Foundation will also focus on reducing the stigma often associated with mental illness and substance use disorders. Through community education, outreach, awareness campaigns, and strategic partnerships, the organization will encourage individuals to seek help before challenges become crises. Families, caregivers, schools, faith communities, and community organizations will be equipped with information and resources to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately, and connect individuals to appropriate services.

The intended outcomes of this pillar are improved access to behavioral health resources, increased awareness of mental health and substance use issues, earlier identification and intervention, stronger recovery supports, and improved individual and family functioning. Ultimately, the Foundation seeks to help consumers achieve greater stability, resilience, self-sufficiency, and quality of life while building healthier communities where seeking behavioral health support is viewed as a strength rather than a weakness.
