Education & Workforce Development
Our Education & Workforce Development pillar serves youth, young adults, adults, unemployed and underemployed individuals, career changers, and individuals who face barriers to educational attainment or meaningful employment. The Foundation recognizes that education and economic opportunity are closely connected to long-term stability. Individuals who have access to quality education, workforce training, career guidance, and employment opportunities are better positioned to achieve financial independence and contribute positively to their families and communities.
The Foundation will support educational and workforce initiatives designed to help consumers identify their strengths, develop marketable skills, and pursue meaningful career opportunities. Programs may include career readiness, job-readiness training, workforce development, resume development, interview preparation, vocational training, mentoring, financial literacy, entrepreneurship education, technology training, and connections to employers and educational institutions. Youth-focused programs may also introduce students to career pathways, post-secondary education, internships, apprenticeships, and other opportunities that prepare them for life after high school.
This pillar will place a strong emphasis on removing barriers that prevent individuals from reaching their educational and employment goals. The Foundation will work with community partners, schools, colleges, employers, workforce organizations, and other stakeholders to create pathways that connect individuals to education, training, employment, and economic opportunity. Particular attention will be given to individuals who may have limited work experience, interrupted educational histories, or other challenges that make it difficult to enter or advance within the workforce.
The intended outcomes include increased educational attainment, improved workforce readiness, increased employment and career advancement, higher earning potential, improved financial stability, and greater economic self-sufficiency. Ultimately, the Foundation seeks to create pathways that empower individuals to transform education and employment opportunities into sustainable economic success for themselves, their families, and future generations.
