Addiction & Recovery Treatment
At Empowering You for Positive Change, we are committed to providing high-quality addiction and recovery treatment services that support individuals and families on the path toward healing, stability, and long-term recovery.
Substance use has impacted many individuals, families, and communities across Virginia. Our Addiction & Recovery Treatment services are designed to meet people where they are and provide structured, compassionate, and evidence-based care through multiple levels of support.
The American Society of Addiction Medicine, known as ASAM, identifies different levels of care within the addiction treatment continuum. Empowering You for Positive Change provides services across several ASAM levels to help individuals receive the right level of treatment based on their clinical needs, recovery goals, and daily functioning.
Level 2.1
Intensive Outpatient Services
ASAM Level 2.1, also known as Intensive Outpatient Services, provides structured treatment for individuals with substance use concerns and co-occurring mental health needs.
Participants typically receive 9 to 20 hours of treatment per week while still being able to maintain work, school, family, and community responsibilities. Services may include group therapy, individual counseling, family support, relapse prevention, recovery education, care coordination, and connection to medical or psychiatric services when needed.
Level 2.5
Partial Hospitalization Program
ASAM Level 2.5, also known as Partial Hospitalization or day treatment, provides 20 or more hours of intensive treatment per week. This level of care is designed for individuals who need more structure and support than traditional outpatient services but do not require inpatient hospitalization.
Services may include group counseling, individual therapy, family support, psychiatric coordination, substance use counseling, relapse prevention planning, coping skills development, and ongoing recovery support.
Level 3.1
Coming Soon
Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services
ASAM Level 3.1 provides a structured residential recovery environment for individuals who need additional support while building recovery skills and daily living stability.
Treatment focuses on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, recovery planning, life skills, peer support, accountability, and community reintegration. Services include a supportive living environment, 24-hour staffing, house meetings, outpatient substance use services, recovery education, and support for co-occurring mental health needs.
Level 3.5
Clinically Managed High-Intensity Residential Services
Our ASAM Level 3.5 program will provide a highly structured, safe, and supportive residential treatment environment for individuals who need intensive support to overcome substance use challenges.
This level of care will offer 24/7 support, evidence-based treatment, peer recovery support, relapse prevention, life skills development, and holistic recovery-focused services. Level 3.5 is designed for individuals who need hands-on support, structure, and clinical care to build the tools necessary for long-term recovery.
At Empowering You for Positive Change, we believe recovery is possible. Our mission is to empower individuals to break the cycle of addiction, heal from past challenges, rebuild their lives, and move forward with purpose.
I have a referral, how do I get started?
Call us at the office in your region to screen or inquire about specific criteria! After a short screening is completed, a therapist immediately contacts the family and schedules a comprehensive evaluation. If the child is found eligible for IIH, then services begin immediately. In cases where the child does not fit the criteria, appropriate referrals are made. The time period from a referral being made and services beginning is typically between 5 to 7 days after approval from Magellan.
